Policies
The key terms for using Svift. By ordering, you accept these.
Pickup and delivery is paid regardless of outcome
The pickup and delivery fee must be paid regardless of outcome. If the workshop is unable to carry out the necessary repairs, we deliver the item back to you, but you still pay for pickup and delivery.
Parties
The seller is Svift AS, referred to as “we”, “us” or “Svift” in these terms. The buyer is the person named as the customer on the order, referred to as “you”. These terms apply to consumer purchases. If you order as a business, they apply so far as they fit, but the mandatory consumer rights below do not apply.
Svift ASReg. no.: 936 277 306Gamle Herregårdsvei 11, 1168 Oslo, Norway+47 481 28 828support@svift.noService and price
The service price is set by the workshop based on what the gear needs. Fixed prices are paid at checkout; other service prices are confirmed before work begins.
Payment
All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner and include VAT. If the service you choose has a fixed price, you pay for the service and transport at checkout. If it does not, you pay the transport fee at checkout, while the service price is set by the workshop and paid once you have approved the estimate. We never charge more than the amount you have approved in advance.
We accept card and Vipps. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and Vipps payments by Vipps MobilePay AS. Svift never stores your card number or details of your Vipps account. Whichever method you choose, the amount you approve at checkout is reserved and charged once the workshop has completed the job. If the final amount is lower, the difference is released. If you paid with Vipps and have approved a higher final amount, you will receive a separate payment request in Vipps for the remainder.
Saved payment method
There is no charge for saving a card. If you actively choose to save it, the card is held by Stripe. It may be used for one or more individual charges per Svift order, but only for amounts you have approved, including a final amount or adjustment you later approve. Your bank may require fresh authentication. You can remove the card from My page at any time. Vipps is not stored as a payment method with us: you approve each Vipps payment yourself in the Vipps app.
Pickup and delivery
You choose a pickup time at checkout. The delivery time is arranged digitally via a link we send you once the gear is ready. Both times come with a little leeway: the driver may arrive up to 15 minutes before or after the agreed time.
When delivery cannot be completed
If a delivery fails, or we do not hear back from you at an agreed time, we notify you by email 3 times, each with a documented timestamp. Notices go by email and to My page; we do not send SMS today.
If the gear is still with us 3 days after the first notice, a one-time storage fee of NOK 100 applies. It is exactly that: one time, not a daily rate that keeps running for as long as the gear sits with us.
If the gear has been neither collected nor delivered 60 days after it was reported ready, and all 3 notices have gone out without a reply from you, we may treat it as abandoned and sell or donate it to cover our costs. Before that happens we send you a final written notice with a closing deadline. If a sale raises more than you owe us, you get the difference back.
Service area
We pick up and deliver in Oslo and surrounding areas. The price for pickup and delivery depends on your postcode, and postcodes outside the area cannot be served.
Right of withdrawal and returns
As a consumer you may withdraw from the agreement without giving any reason within 14 days of entering into it. You exercise the right by giving us an unequivocal notice before the deadline expires, for example by email to support@svift.no, or by filling in our withdrawal form. It is enough that the notice is sent within the deadline.
When ordering you expressly confirm, in a separate checkbox, that the work may start before those 14 days are up. If the repair is completed within the deadline, the right of withdrawal lapses the moment the work is finished. That is precisely what the checkbox covers.
If you withdraw BEFORE the work is complete, the right of withdrawal stands. You then pay only for what has already been done: the transport, which is a performed service from the moment the gear was picked up, and a diagnostic fee of NOK 590 if diagnosis took more than 30 minutes without a repair being carried out. If it took less, no diagnostic cost applies. The fee does not extinguish your right of withdrawal, because it is proportionate payment for work actually done. The rate may vary between workshops, and the one that applies to your order is stated in the checkbox before you confirm.
There are no goods to send back: the gear is yours throughout, and we deliver it back to the address you gave. The transport fee covers pickup and delivery, and is paid regardless of outcome.

Get in touch as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel. Pickup and delivery already incurred may be invoiced.
Complaints
If you discover a defect in the work we have carried out, you must notify us within a reasonable time after you discovered or should have discovered it. Send the notice to support@svift.no. You have 2 years to complain about work carried out.
We confirm receipt of your complaint within 48 hours. The case itself is decided on the documentation held against the order: the original booking, time-stamped photos at pickup and delivery, approved changes and the full message thread. If the complaint succeeds, we put the work right at no cost to you. If the defect cannot be put right, you may claim a price reduction or cancel the agreement under the rules of the law.
The 2-year deadline follows the Norwegian Craftsman Services Act. The five-year deadline the same act gives in section 22 applies to work on real property (houses and buildings) and not to servicing gear, and is therefore not the right deadline here.
Dispute resolution
Complaints are addressed to us first at support@svift.no, so that we have the chance to resolve the matter.
If we do not reach agreement, you may bring the case before the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet), which mediates between the parties. If mediation does not succeed, the case may go on to the Consumer Complaints Committee (Forbrukerklageutvalget), which issues a decision.
If you live in another EEA country, your national consumer centre can help; in Norway it is called Forbrukereuropa. The EU ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and can no longer be used.
Environmental and savings figures
Environmental and savings figures shown on My page are estimates calculated using the method described at svift.no/baerekraft/metode. The method and sources are updated regularly, and changes are logged on the same page.
Privacy
We process your personal data only to deliver the service. What we collect, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can demand is set out in the privacy policy.
